L'Aia Vecchia - Farm Holidays in Tuscany, Castellina Marittima

L'Aia Vecchia offers to children guests of the farm the possibility to make guided visits with Serena to learn having fun all that the nature, if well conducted and respected, can offer.
Visiting the farm give children the chance to have direct contact with the animals, the plants, the heart, the open spaces and the agricoltural trades with the target to make young people aware about the enviroment and the rights of the animals.
Along the pats in the park you can admire the tipical mediterranean vegetation as oak, holm oak, pine, acacie, corbezzoli, myrtle, juniper and broom trees, the fruit trees, the vegetables, the aromatic grass, the officinal plants, the wild flowers and the pacefull olive trees learning their botanical caratteristics and the quality of the Extra Vergin Olive Oli produced.
During the trip you will find animals running free like peakocks, rabbits, cats, sheep, pigeons, cickens including mother hen with her ciks, tortoises, then the geese and the duks in the lake and then on the two little ponies Stellina e Duccio and the two horses Nuvola and Serafina; here children can get confident with the world of horses understanding their behavior proud and majestic but docile and affectionate, learning how to get close, stroke and take care, to give them some hey or cereals or watch them gallop free in the park or to have a ride with the mini pony Stellina so they can estabilsh a friendly relationship based on trust and respect.
